Kalm Heart features Original Music by Roxanne Layton. You will hear music inspired by Native American Culture, Americana/Celtic as well as Egyptian Mythology. This CD was organically written in the studio. It's an Intentional CD written at 60 Beats Per Minute. 60 Beats Per Minute are the Beats Per Minute of an Average Human Heart in a relaxed state. My intention is to slow down the listener's Heart Rate to invite in relaxation.

This process is called Entrainment. Entrainment is the phenomenon of getting vibrating systems to vibrate together in sync. We have 3 Rhythms in our body. Those 3 are our Heart Rate, Breathing, and our Brain Waves. By keeping all of the songs at 60 Beats Per Minute, the listeners rhythmic body systems sync to the rhythm of the music.

The instruments on this CD consists of Renaissance Recorders, Native American Flutes, Bamboo Flute, Hammered Dulcimer, Guitar, Acoustic Bass, Large Authentic Rain Stick, Rattle, Chinese Bao Ding Balls, Melodica, Bass Cajon Drum, and Voice. Eagle, Quail, and Dove Recordings are used in several of the songs.
